As a lifelong Oklahoman now honored to lead this wonderful Texas campus, I know firsthand that students excel when parents, guardians, and educators work side by side. Please consider these proven strategies to help your student reach their full potential:

Create a dependable homework routine. Set up a quiet, well-lit study area and establish a consistent time for assignments.

Read together daily. Just 15–20 minutes of shared reading strengthens vocabulary, comprehension, and a lasting appreciation for books.

Manage screen time. Keep television, gaming, and other devices in check, especially during study hours, to maintain focus.

Recognize effort and growth. Celebrate hard work and progress as much as final grades; perseverance builds confidence.

Prioritize rest and nutrition. Adequate sleep and balanced meals keep students alert and ready to learn.
